Ela Motors Celebrates 34 Employees’ Success in First Aid Training

Ela Motors, has recently congratulated 34 of its employees who have successfully completed the First Aid Training program. The initiative was organized by the Department of Safety, Security, Health, Environment, and Quality (SSHEQ) in collaboration with Port Moresby St John Ambulance and The Red Cross Team. The program aimed to train first aiders and ensure the safety and health of employees across TTPNG.

The training program started in September 2022 and concluded on March 2nd, 2023, with the certification of 34 employees who are now equipped to manage first aid services. The newly certified employees are now capable of handling workplace incidents that require immediate attention from a first aider.

Expressing his gratitude towards the Ela Motors management for their support, the National SSHEQ Manager, Morgan Veao, stated that the primary objective of first aid training is to provide immediate attention to a sick or injured person, preserve life, prevent escalation of illness or injury, promote recovery, provide pain relief, and protect the unconscious.

The First Aid Training program is a requirement for workplaces in TTPNG to ensure employee safety and health at all times. The successful completion of the training by Ela Motors’ employees showcases the company’s commitment to the well-being of its employees.

The collaboration between the Department of SSHEQ, Port Moresby St John Ambulance, and The Red Cross Team is a significant milestone towards providing comprehensive training and support for employees.
