Ela Motors Joins Credit Guarantee Corporation – Agri Trade Expo & SME Breakfast

Ela Motors took part in the SME Breakfast, a significant event uniting business sectors, government representatives, and industry experts.

The gathering served as a platform to address important matters impacting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and to identify possibilities for development and partnership.

The breakfast event followed a three-day showcase of the Agri Trade Expo at the APEC Haus on the 24^th – 27^th June in Port Moresby.

During the breakfast event CEO of Ela Motors, Mr. Masaru Mikami emphasized the company’s continuous support for the SME Awards, highlighting the significance of rural-based SMEs and their dedicated customer base.

In 2020, despite the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic, Ela Motors contributed to the inaugural SME Awards by providing a Yamaha Boat and Outboard Motor as the major prize.

In 2021, Ela Motors continued its support by providing a Toyota Rush as the major prize. In 2022, the company furthered its support by offering a Hino Truck to encourage rural-based SMEs.

Last year 2023, Ela Motors elevated its commitment by becoming the naming rights sponsor for the SME Awards and donated a Toyota Hilux to assist with the administration of the awards, in addition to continuing to offer a Hino truck as the main prize.

Overall, Ela Motors’ dedication to fostering SME excellence in PNG has made a positive impact on the SME community, supporting over 70 businesses and distributing over 1.2 million in recognition funds and prizes, with plans to reach a total of 1.5 million in support of 90 businesses as the Awards approach their 5th anniversary.
